Verified Merchant Seal Fails

The most common causes of failures of the Verified Merchant Seal and their related fixes are:

  1. Failing to list all the domain names on which you wish to display the seal.
If your Verified Merchant Seal works on some pages but not on others the problem is very likely to be one or more missing domain names from the Verified Merchant Seal Domains List. This problem is easily corrected. Logg on to your Authorize.net account then click on "Settings" under "Account" near the bottom of the left navigation menu. Next click on "Verified Merchant Seal" in the left navigation menu then follow the on-screen instructions to set up or edit the Verified Merchant Seal Domains List. Make sure all domain names and any canonical domain names where you wish to display the Verified Merchant Seal are on the list. The list must at least contain your domain name and your domain name preceded by www. For example yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com.

  2. Incorrectly or incompletely copying and pasting the code from Authorize.net.
The solution is simply to carfully re-copy the Verified Merchant Seal code as provided by Authorize.net and paste it completely to the desired pages on your web site. The code for the seal is found on the same page as the Verified Merchant Seal Domains List described above.
